Can't find the video, but these remind me of the clip I saw a few days ago of some fat woman yelling 'people are gonna die anyway' at one of those AR-47 rallies. Apparently it hasn't occurred to her that she could be one of those people.

I was actually trying to find a picture I saw of a guy carrying a sign that said "virus is a hoax" yet he was wearing a mask. Then there's these people following the mask guidelines. This is bringing out the absolute worst in people.

The worst of it is, geeks like the above are proudly defiant about what they're doing and the rest of us who raise any public objections to it are seen as being in the wrong. This country is severely f***d up and this pandemic is only serving to point that up ever more clearly.

We're under a city directive to "wear masks" when we are outside. Not everyone is complying, but many are. Yesterday, a friend told me that she saw a couple walking down the street wearing Lone Ranger masks, with nothing on the lower face. Technically, they were following the directive.

He's being dutiful and doing what the government has asked. I admire his creativity. All he had to do was add that extra touch.

They're mixing in with the "normal" Trump supporters. Since most of us are adhering to the guidelines these people are getting all the attention and loving it. It's a chance of a lifetime for these idiots. In a matter of seconds they've completely marginalized the death of 11 million people.

The searing irony in that first photo is horribly apparent to anyone who knows their German idiom--'arbeit' doesn't simply mean work, it translates as hard, grueling labor; thus the term 'arbeit macht frei' was ironically chosen by the Nazis to point up to the arriving camp inmates that work would indeed make them free--only the work was slave labor and the 'freedom' was death. As firmly as I support rights of free speech and the First Amendment, I'm just about on the verge of wondering if we should begin introducing the more stringent style of European hate speech laws to deal with cretins who use this type of imagery and the ideology it promotes to support their deranged beliefs that swastikas and Nazi slogans somehow lend weight and credibility to their nutjob 'causes'.

I love it when I see a person on TV doing an interview --- alone at home --- video chat --- and they got a mask on.
I'm like, "Dude, you're home alone. You don't understand how this works. Do you really think you're gonna catch the Coronavirus through the computer?" . . . Ha ha ha. . .

Yesterday while shopping I saw a ton of people wearing their mask under their nose. The mouth was covered but not the nose. Anyone else see this? Any explanations ? I seriously am at a loss to figure out what they were thinking

They interviewed the woman in the top picture and asked her if she even knew the history of those words. Her response was " I'm not a Nazi, I have a lot of Jewish friends". I'll let that statement stand on its own. The only problem with having more hate speech laws is that in the states we can't even agree on hate crimes since not all the states have actual statutes regarding hate crimes.

I seriously am at a loss to figure out what they were thinking I have seen this. The only possible explanation I can think of is that they are only doing it for show or because so many places are requiring you to wear masks.

They are complying with the letter of the rule (masks on) but not the intent. I hope they aren't thinking they are protected.

I hope the same thing but I think we both know there are people out there who really do think they're protected. The other thing is the masks are also for protecting others. Even if they're doing it for show and aren't worried about catching the virus you'd hope they would at least be mindful of their fellow human beings. We both know that's not the case.
