I don't know too much about Shirley Jackson, I've read two of her stories, well one was a novel and the other a short story, but I do find myself interested in this.

Read alot of her works in High School. She was an eccentric woman. Believed in magic and the Occult. She and her Husband ate a ton of Butter, Lard, etc. Both Smoked like Chimneys. She passed away at 48 from Heart issues and Prescription Pills used to treat them.

Thanks for posting the trailer. I never know what's new in theaters because usually I have little interest in newer stuff, but Shirley Jackson is my favorite writer, so this I'll go see for sure. I did see the movie version of "We Have Always Lived in the Castle", my favorite of Jackson's novels, and I was very disappointed.
