Little Richard has died at the age of 87.
Thanks for the music.

A legend, who could lay claim to being one of the greatest entertainers of the Twentieth Century, not only in rock 'n' roll, but soul, funk and gospel.
There are very few who managed to segue into different genres like he did, with such authority.
An absolute titan.
He delivered one of the finest soul ballads, ever, whilst being backed by Jimi Hendrix and Billy Preston.
I Don't Know What You've Got (But It's Got Me)
RIP

RIP to a true legend. Sadly, most people seemed to have forgotten him now, and most early rock n' roll outside of Elvis and (maybe) Chuck Berry; but Little Richard could easily claim to be the true originator of the genre, and without him a huge swath of 20th century music wouldn't have happened.

Sounds like Wilson Pickett or Percy Sledge.

What a loss. All the biggest black rock and roll singers are gone now. Here's a lesser known song of his that is based on swamp pop.
