I would imagine that the mere occupation of the Channel Islands is somewhat embarrassing to Britain, to say nothing of a concentration camp on one of them.

Not really. The German occupation of the Channel Islands and its concentration camp has been pretty much done to death (pun intended) in the UK media. There was a BBC series about it a while back that was full of thoroughly decent Field Greys and snotty nosed British toffs. I have forgotten the name but I remember my then girlfriend having a happy grizzle when the Nazi officer stole the English girl's baby.

Not really. The German occupation of the Channel Islands and its concentration camp has been pretty much done to death (pun intended) in the UK media.
