I collected several dozen little plastic animals that were offered in boxes of Rice Honeys and Wheat Honeys cereal. There was a farm animal series; a dinosaur series; and a jungle animal series; I was never able to complete a whole set before the series switched to a different collection. I ate a lot of that cereal and I can still remember the taste of it; I wish it was still around because it was pretty good, not super-sugary like a lot of the other kid cereals of the time. I also got a free record--"ABC" by the Jackson 5--off the back of a box of Alpha-Bits cereal. Good product tie-in there.

I remember cut-out Star Wars character masks on the backs of cereal boxes in the early 1980s. And little plastic toys at the bottom of the box.

I feel like Shreddies had a strong library of junk toys.
