If there's actually still a section to discuss commercials, sorry, I didn't see it. Anyway, anybody who's seen this commercial, why don't they save time and just say 'don't give this to anybody under the age of 18'? Why bother making two groups when it's clear anybody a minor of any age should NOT be taking this drug?

I've see that commercial (we actually saw it this morning), and I swear, the side-effects seem to be worse than IBS-C!!! I don't know why anyone would take it! You can treat IBS-C without resorting to this horror of a drug! This is why I despise big pharma.

I think prescriptions drugs in general are best off avoided unless absolutely necessary as you can see it's more about the $ than ones health nowadays with them getting sued fairly often. but they don't really care because by then they made a ton of $.
like you can see the standards of prescription drugs have been lowered all in the name of greed as the potential side effects are often worse than the thing they are trying to fix in the first place. hell, some of them admit they can cause cancer!
I tend to see prescription drugs as detrimental to ones health over the long term, especially for those people who are on multiple drugs etc.

I tend to see prescription drugs as detrimental to ones health over the long term, especially for those people who are on multiple drugs etc. They were never advertised at all - not in magazines, on radio or TV. Now you can't avoid be bombarded with them. And yes, the standards have been lowered. Even the clinical tests are a joke. FDA has lightened standards so companies can get them to market quicker, and therefore access a longer life prior to brand name expiration and them going generic. A lot of them cause gastric issues due to killing beneficial bacteria in lower GI tract, and also allowing the wrong type of bacteria to migrate to the upper intestine where they don't belong and cause havoc. I mean, I could go on. I worked in the pharma industry. I avoid a lot of pharmaceuticals unless absolutely necessary and they have been proven. I can't take penicillin because I'm allergic, and to a few others as well. It's in the name of GREED.

I saw that commercial yesterday about not giving to children under 6, and then it proceeds to say, "don't give to children 6-18". You're right though; why not just say, "do not give to children under the age of 18" and be done with it? What's with all that double talk? It's redundant.
