Since stay-at-home was implemented, neighbors have been having stuff done to their homes. One next door who has a stucco house had it repainted - a long process, and the painters have been around for two weeks. It's a big house, scaffolding, etc.
On the other side, he's had some yard work and landscaping done.
Across the street, they are having 4 of the 5 (master already has) hard wood floors put in, had trees taken down in the back yard and is getting an in-ground pool. Landscapers as well. Next to him, they are finishing up additions and interior work, then yard work. On the corner, they are having the inside painted.
We've had small projects, and today we had the driveway sealed. Guys came with two trucks and a tank with the hot sealer. Three of our neighbors talked to the guy while he was here, and they are all having their driveways coated/sealed as well.
There are a lot of contractors trucks/equipment in the street, and now all our cars are in the street because we can't use the driveways for three days.
Today is garbage pickup day - I wonder how the truck will get in. Also, we and our neighbor have our lawns cut today.
Garbage truck is coming up the street. Interesting. Oh, the guy at the end of the culdesac just had a backhoe delivered!
LOL!!!!!! Wish I could take a picture and post it. It's crazy!!!!!

Catman finally found a contractor to rebuilt the front porch and wheelchair ramp. So for a few days, the front of the house will be a construction zone.

It's funny you say that, as it's been the same thing here. Everyone around me is having something done. Whether it's landscaping or construction, there isn't a moment of peace and quiet. I'm constantly hearing some sort of machinery on all sides around me every single day and this is the way it's been.

I see they have these module ones now - but they aren't really nice looking. This guy a few blocks from us has a really pretty one - it's white with nice looking railings - like a pretty fence. ''

The one running parallel has five construction things going on - I mean MAJOR, and then up around the corner from there, some more!

Yeah, I went to Home Depot today and it's crowded with long lines of people, many buying lumber. Home Depot has been THE PLACE TO GO during this pandemic. People are doing thing that they hadn't had the time to do while working. I'm guessing these people are getting some kind of salary/unemployment/trust fund/whatever. The neighbor who is getting the in-ground pool just did a refi. We're going to do one as well. Rates are ridiculous, and if we do a 20 year, we don't loose any of the equity. Weird, but it's true. And no fees!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Is it this block? By the looks of it, though, I don't think anyone's complaining.
