Have you guys seen this? John Carpenter said on Twitter that one of the characters was a Thing at the end.
It kind of bothers me, because I like the interpretation of the ending that neither were a Thing, yet they were paranoid about one another. It fits with the Cold War theme of the movie. That's why they had all them weapons in Antarctica, innit? Because of the Cold War.
He said years ago one of them was infected It's mostly been seen as a metaphor for AIDS not the Cold War. Them being stationed in Antarctica has nothing to do with the Cold War. Two flame throwers & a pistol!!
