Got my tickets to go to Europe late June. I want to see my parents, thats one thing, but also I don't want to sit in my apartment forever. I am wondering what the flight will be like - I will have a mask on of course, and then will either get a test when I land or go to self quarantine, to make sure I don't infect my parents in case I catch something on the way.
I am hoping the plane will not be booked solid, that would make me feel nervous a bit.
What about you, are you thinking of traveling again sometime soon?

From everything I've read so far, I don't think planes would book at 100% capacity, and they'd make allowances to maintain some sense of social distancing. As for late June, they might run at a fuller capacity, but I still don't think it'll be full.
Have you looked online at all about what flying is anticipated to be like in late June? They might have more info, projections of anticipations.
With proper planning, and taking precautions, (I'm wondering if they'll let you take hand sanitizer with you or a small container of alcohol, or at least disinfecting wipes?) - plan accordingly and you'll manage fine I'm sure.

I am Hoping u r right and it wont be full. But who knows. Yes O am planning to have wipes with me and a small bottle of hand sanitizer. I guess thats the best I can do... and then hope for the best.

There remains an off-chance that I'll fly to the UK, in August. Friends and I have been planning a trip to Scotland, and (both) Irelands, for a couple of years. Last year, bad health befell one, and we were sure that 2020 would be the year. Who knew??
I still hold it open as a possibility. But, "who knew," has now become "who knows?"
As you said, it will depend on a combination of rules and regulations that are set by the various airlines, as well as by the host countries.
Your situation is different, in that you are going to be with close family. For us, it would only be a vacation-type of visit. I won't attempt it, if it means the possibility of a quarantine, upon arrival.
I hope it works well, for you.

I am flying through Ireland, where I will spend about 3 hours at the airport so that will be an experience on its own. I will report back on how it went, I heard there are now big lines forming to get INTO any country even within the EU with EU passport, you can no longer just swipe and go through, now you have to go through an interview and body temperature scan etc. I have not seen my parents for 10 months and it will be almost 1 year and thats simply too much for me, I am already feeling quite bad about it as is, I made the wrong decision of not having gone see them over Xmas. Well. Hindsight 20/20 right?

I will probably be traveling to the USA from Montreal within the next month. Normally I would fly, but I think this time I will drive, since the place I am going is within driving distance.

I had 3 different trips planned this year. My goal this year was to see 50 concerts which included flying to 3 different cities and to a music festival. Obviously this isn't happening this year. Concerts have been postponed and cancelled. Even if the concerts go on later this year I'm not sure I'll be going.
I think if you prepare for the worst you'll be fine. By "the worst" I mean plan on the airplanes being packed. Even if the airlines say they won't sell every seat they very well might. It's already happened. I can't see how they'll turn down money and wouldn't trust what they say. Hopefully they require masks but there will be people and kids that will push this especially on a long flight. If you're already planning on needing to quarantine that's a good thing. At this point we don't know what'll be required. Things are changing every day. Be prepared that a travel ban may happen and you may be stuck there for awhile.
Hopefully none of this happens but it's best to be prepared. At this point everybody is ready to get back to things and I don't think it will be easy to put everybody back in lock down mode again.
You can't control what other people do but you can control what you do. Be smart and safe and I think everything will be ok.
