I use my Lego bricks over and over again. I often buy more stuff to avoid the shipping cost. Sometimes, I ignore the best before date and eat stuff nonetheless. I buy Rockstar energy drinks only when they are offered with a discount, and I will wait till one of the four discounter in my town does it. You Scottish, brah?

Using “Jewish” as an adjective to mean stingy is an antisemitic slur. I always heard stingy attached to Scottish. Squeeze a penny until it hollared But I tend to ignore best by dates. Canned goods can be good up to 5 yrs after the date.

I've a friend whose stinginess cracks me up. He's one of my best longest running friends, but I've never seen a man rescue his own bowl of dip from a party. I guess it must have been expensive (or just really good) because it started disappearing fast and he had to swoop in and save some for later.
It was years ago and I still laugh at it. Laugh with it. Mostly at it.

I think the story is two Scotsmen fought over a penny and invented the copper wire.
