I do not have the intelligent capacity to answer those questions.

I don't think deciphering abbreviations has a great deal to do with intelligence, per se. After all, a highly intelligent Frenchman, who did not speak or read English, or who was unacquainted with English idioms, couldn't answer these, but that would have nothing to do with his IQ level.
I can often figure out what a given acronym means (if I have some knowledge of its context), but I don't think that makes me an exceptionally high-IQ intellect.

As a time killer, it's enough fun for a few minutes; just a fill-in-the-blanks quiz with letter hints. I'm stuck at 26, and I'm certainly no F'n G. EDIT: With the tab still open, I've looked at it again from time to time, and five more have come to me. But I don't feel any smarter; dumber, in fact, for not getting them sooner. FURTHER EDIT: Okay, I'm done. Got 32, and cheated with The Google just to find out what the answer to #28 was. I would never have gotten it. Still don't feel like a genius, but I do feel more stable.

I'll take it later for the helluvit. But it doesn't measure intelligence, only familiarity with English phrases. For example, a person of genius IQ who just immigrated from Egypt and is learning English could take the test and be falsely called a moron. Yes that is true It kind or reminds me how they thought about illiteracy in the middle ages where you would be called illiterate if you could not read latin, even if you could read English or German it did not matter if you could not read latin you where called illiterate. And that is where the myth comes from that hardly anybody could read in the middle ages, plenty of people could read and write but most of them could not read or write latin.

The ones I guessed are #'s 2/3/16/18/23/25/27/32. but I suspect they are the easier ones with #3 being the exception of those I guessed which I might have got lucky but I heard the saying before and it popped into my head out of no where. but the rest I guessed are somewhat similar.
A hint for those who want to narrow things down a bit (you can read the following as it's not the answers but guides a person on how to think about the answers to the ones I guessed)... nearly everything I guessed was in relation to 'time' with one being in relation to 'money' and one being a saying I heard before that happened to pop into my head. So by that measuring stick on that site, I cracked the 'somewhat intelligent' range @ 8 correct. so I am about mid-pack of the somewhat intelligent range. ill take it but personally I would not place too much stock in that test as even if someone can't get a single one I would not think that automatically makes them stupid. gameboy When I was reading that, before reading your conclusion I selected C (I would have never guessed B because I am not familiar with all of that stuff). but I never really thought about the 'dangerous animal' aspect just that a mouse seemed most of of place among those four listed.

The whole concept that intelligence can be objectively determined by a written test is a fraud anyway. IQ tests merely measure familiarity with culture. For example, IQ tests will ask a question like which of these four does not belong in the set?: A) Lion B) Alligator C) Mouse D) Bear According to the test maker B) Alligator doesn't belong because it is a reptile, not a mammal. However, if you look at it from a different perspective C) Mouse doesn't belong because the other three are all dangerous animals. It's why IQ tests are subjective and even racist. They claim certain nations in Africa are populated by a majority of cretins with IQ's below 60. Balderdash. IQ is a fraud. Or its small size. But IQ has merit. Take the test. It's similar to a crossword puzzle, but there is a cultural bias.

I don't believe that these tests/quizzes are a measure of intelligence. But, DAMN ... I scored 18, just one short of Genius!

Just like if you have a high social i.q. ...all that measures is how well you do on the social i.q. test.
