They're popping up all over the place, and I can smell them in the air everywhere.
Lovely!
Anyone ever notice, if you close your eyes and breathe in the aroma, there's a spicy undertone in there somewhere?

I love the scent of lilacs. We had trees when I was growing up, and our first house we had two. None at this house. Oddly enough, the peonies, which are currently in bloom, have a similar scent. Hyacinth also has a similar scent. And yes, there is a slight spicy undertone!!!! Very subtle.

No one else I've asked every picked up on it, as they just noticed the sweet floral aromas. My grandmother had lilacs in her little yard, as well as roses and some type of very pretty purple flowers crawling up a trellis. I forgot the name, - maybe Morning Glories?

Have one right outside bedroom window. When the window is open it smells great!

i envy you all. I am currently living in a country where few flowers bloom and I miss the scent of them and of the trees very much.
