A nod to Bunuel's Simon of the Desert and a perfect pop song to boot

New Radicals - You Get What You Give (1998)
One of those extremely nostalgic, hits me right back to spring/summer of 99, and so much positivity going on, both with the music and the video. Not sure what happened to the band, but they seemed to break up and the lead singer/frontman ended up writing and producing hits for other artists such as Ronan Keating, Santana and Michelle Branch, but anyway, this video and song pretty much sums up the great springtime/summer of 1999, for me that is. Also a huge plus, is that it somehow managed to piss off Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love, and I think they were not too happy about it, but I guess nobody thought it would come from a band like the New Radicals, and it makes me loved this song even more.

Blur - Coffee and TV (1999)
Speaking of late 90s "brit-pop", I always ended up favouring the music and videos of Blur, where somehow my favorite videos, rarely got played on MTV, while Song 2 (not that I hate it, but damn, that one is so extremely overplayed, that it makes me almost sick, whenever I hear or watch it on tv/radio) however, Beetlebum, Country House and Tender are all still huge favorites, but no one will ever top the classic song/video that was Coffee and TV. There is just something very sweet and charming about both the song and video, but the last time I heard or saw it on television or radio, it must have been back in the summer of 2004.

This video is from 2015. I think the comic book format is clever.

Art Of Noise used to have some interesting music videos back in the day, where my favorite surely has to be the one with the "Turtle on ice" during Moments In Love. It plays out like some crazy fever dream, but a bit "weird" still it has that elegant and dreamy touch or style going, which of course suits the music very well.
