The movie is supposed to release in only 4 months time and there's been no trailer for it.
The last movie which released at the same time in 2018 had it's first trailer around this time four days back on June 8th.
It can't be long off from a trailer? Anyone here anything? I can't the movie being delayed as these can only really come out in October.

I heard that the trailer will come some point this month, or sometime soon. There's a good chance it will go straight to demand, unfortunately.

Nearly half of the franchise was released outside of October. I'm not saying it'll be delayed, but it wouldn't be unprecedented.

You wouldn't think July would be a great idea either but Resurrection managed to do it (after being pushed back twice, first September 2001 and then April 2002).

The idea of it being delayed is depressing, but it seems less and less likely that theaters will be back to normal by then. I have to imagine the studio is hanging back a bit before they make any decisions or roll out any promotion. Weird times.

I'll be sorry if it gets delayed, but it would be understandable enough given our present predicament. I'm fortunate enough to have not yet seen the 2018 film, so at least I have that to look forward to on Blu ray.

The Halloween movies stopped being good and scary after Halloween II (1981)
Halloween III (Underrated) maybe the last good one

The Halloween movies stopped being good and scary after Halloween II (1981) Halloween III (Underrated) maybe the last good one I'm not a big fan of the sequels. Used to like Halloween II, but I've gone off it in recent years. I do retain a soft spot for Halloween 5, however. Halloween III is the best of the sequels IMO.

Halloween 3 is a fun, dumb movie, but it's not a really a sequel as we understand it. I don't hate it or anything, but I never really got why fans held Halloween 2 in such high regard. I've always heard that it was this seamless continuation and that it was so in sync with the first movie, but to me it just seems like the generic slashers that copied Halloween. The fact that it is meant to take place immediately after makes the difference in tone and style all the more stark to me. Especially Michael Meyers himself, who clearly is not the same person. Can't say I love 5, but Halloween 4 is one that I always enjoy. Danielle Harris gives an uncommonly good performance for her age and it's one of the better generic slasher sequels in general. It's just perfectly solid where some of the other sequels are awful. The ending is kinda dumb though.

I'd like to join the chorus of "I used to but don't really like most of the sequels." I used to ride pretty hard for Halloween 4 and was always annoyed with H20 for ignoring it. I can still appreciate H4 for what it is, but I can't say it's a great movie or anything. None of them are even a patch on the original. I do still like the 2018 film, but even that feels like a separate beast. It's fun to have a franchise this long that shoots off in so many directions, though. For my money, Season of the Witch is the best of the lot because it doesn't even attempt to exist in the same rarefied air as the original.
Friday the 13th, Elm Street and *especially* Child's Play/Chucky have been much, much more consistent. I'm just going to go ahead and blame the Weinsteins for that.
