Bob must never have thrown out a single outtake. Pretty sure that would've been the record company rather than Bob. Dylan has never been one to look back on the past, but record companies will capitalize on people's nostalgia for all its worth. Of course, in Dylan's case the unreleased stuff (even the outtakes) are often worth hearing. The Official Bootleg series is almost alike an entirely separate discography that many artists would be proud to have. How it is that stuff like Blind Willie McTell never made it onto an official album is a mystery.

All the album outtakes are interesting but only Blood On the Tracks is surpassed by the New York recordings boot.
