www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/couple-married-for-53-years-dies-of-covid-19-an-hour-apart/ar-BB16dTHo?ocid=spartanntpDespite traveling a lot during their lives, the last year of their lives, they spent the last year of their lives pretty much alone in their home. When the wife did go outdoors, she always wore a mask. Then she didn't feel well....and got admitted. Eventually she got admitted, and her husband shortly after. With very little attention, in a hot spot busy with packed beds. They were kept in separate rooms (men and women aren't allowed to share rooms), but when things were getting very bad, it was one very generous and very thoughtful nurse who made things happen....with love. She got the couple together in the same room, with their beds together, and they were both at peace, "knowing where they were going" as it were. One hour apart....after 53 years of marriage. As I said, bittersweet. I can't figure out how they contracted it, but God bless that nurse who found a way to let them be together in this particular moment.
