Means how would you describe your life in terms of happiness/peace/contentment? I will answer too in my next post whenever I make that.

Oh that is such a hard question to answer. For me, it's almost a day to day prospect. I'm not inordinately unhappy. I can say that much. It's not a black and white thing.
Happiness is a nice idea. And happiness is likely less a goal than it is a byproduct.

#4 - life isn't perfect, and there are ups and downs, but all in all, pretty happy and content.

3.75 I'll say.
Would I wish for more money & thus agency for bucket list stuff, sure. Yet of the 7.8 billion of us, I'd say I'm absurdly lucky with my hand.
I'm working more, 6 days, & yet feeling fulfilled because of that - the work isn't challenging because practice & routine, I have very good colleagues for banter/life balance, & I'm not sitting around all day either worrying about income. 2 gigs, both less than 4 minutes from my home. That's how ridiculous it is. I never work earlier than 9am, never later because of COVID-19 than 8pm.

2 or 2.5 I say. I try to enjoy it but I have extreme depression and really gets in the way of loving life.

I voted 4 since I'm typically content and not necessarily happy all the time, but it really depends on the day

2 or 2.5 I say. I try to enjoy it but I have extreme depression and really gets in the way of loving life. Sorry to hear that Friday. Do you feel that perhaps a different approach or outlet to assist in realising your self-worth would benefit? Attitude is key and while my cynicism is something that can drag me down, a way out of this when I address it can also raise me out of it. I spent a large chunk of my life complaining when I have to realise I am very fortunate when I put my life into perspective. I rated myself at 4. I would have been a 3 or less over 20yrs who. My therapist said something similar. Granted for what its worth my life is not all horrible its just when you have depression you cant help thinking about the bad a lot. But I have positives in my life that I am thankful for.

Yesterday was a 1.5. Did NOT have a very good day yesterday.
I mean - all things considered, in the long run, I would say 4.
Yes - it does suck that all of my social activities (bowling, softball, hockey) have been shut down. However, when I stay at home, I'm doing my part for the world.
Then again, I am an introvert to begin with.

I transition between a 3 and 4. Pretty happy and contented that life is good. But I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I'm pretty scared of this whole corona pandemic, including both the changes in my every day life I now do, and my concern over potential long-term effects (for myself and everyone else).
Like JW, I'm an introvert, so in some ways, much of my life isn't as impacted as others. But the pandemic definitely is like throwing a giant wrench into the cogs.

2, and of course I'm bringing it all on myself. Thanks everyone for your replies. Nice to see different and diverse people. I will rate first 16 years of my life as 4 out of 5. I was mostly happy and carefree. Had great time with friends and cared by my family. I will rate the next 16 years of my life 2 out of 5. Mostly distressed and anxious. I had problems with sleep which really disturbed me a lot. last two years of my life have been a transition phase. I am beginning to become content if not happy. I hope I can be 4 of 5 again in the future. Although life has not been great since I was a kid I am not a pessimist. I am hopeful person and think there's a brighter future. I want to end on a winning note. oh, and Erjen, we have had ups and downs in how we interact and it has been going on since last 10 years almost. But I believe deep down you are a good man. onethreetwo , gameboy , Nora - your reply to op.....Just a request not a compulsion.

I voted 2. Truthfully you probably wouldn't really know it by how I am day to day. I seem fine. I joke around. I enjoy things. But I have a lot of issues. I was severely bullied as a child and it wasn't any better at home. I also have some pretty bad PTSD from a job I had for a long time. I go out to do the normal things. I work full time. But I really prefer to be home. I have very little desire to see family or friends and skip out on family functions as much as possible. I do the big two, Thanksgiving and Christmas, but that's pretty much it. I live within a half hour of both of my parents and only see them twice a year.

I'll say 4. My life is not perfect and it has its challenges. But I generally enjoy life. I'm not nihilistic or depressed. I find delight in simple things. I find joy in a beautiful sunset or a great curry on rice. So I'm happy to be alive. I would have rated you somewhere near 4. I can see you enjoy simple things. That's a great quality to have.

You do put on a brave face and that's a great quality. I hope you can be 4 instead of 2 in times to come
