Sylvester Stallone in France
Here, Sylvester Stallone's attending the Cesar Awards in 1992, with Michele Morgan. Both received an Honorary Award for contributions to the arts. A great moment.
In 1992, he also received the Medal of Chevalier, Order of Arts and Letters, in Paris, which is one of France's highest cultural honours.
In 2015, Paris housed a major exhibition of Stallone's paintings and artworks. Stallone estimates he's created about 300 - 400 paintings in his lifetime that he still holds in consideration. His paintings have been exhibited globally, from New York to St. Petersburg.
He enjoys going to France, particularly the south when it's scorching hot, though nowadays he takes his family.
Stallone frequents the Cannes Film Festival where he has many friends.
You can watch Clelia Cohen & Antoine Coursat's intriguing documentary, 'Stallone, Profession Héros' (2008), currently screening on youtube if you're interested in his career - but it contains adult content and is not screenable here on IMDB2, so I've not provided a video link.

They are forever grateful for his contribution to beating the Third Reich at the 1944 World Cup.
