I don't count those.

I have tried matching my lists to world release dates but it’s too much like hard work! However to play fair, I’ll edit and hold back Walsh for next year (imo bottom of the barrel 1985 needs his help anyway...!)
Truth be told I have always thought Blood Simple was an ‘84 wide release - I stand corrected!

I have OCD about this sort of thing. I was just letting you know. I always check IMDB when making my lists. I go by the first date the doesn't say film festival next to it and I go by world release dates otherwise. It is especially confusing when it comes to something like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. It had FF release in 1986, but wasn't released anywhere else until 1990.

Haha yes it gets confusing sometimes. It also leads to following really unlikely dates - such as that unspecified 1982 Iceland release for The King of Comedy, which I have always found dubious.

Yeah, that was weird. Because that just popped up out of nowhere like 6 years ago under the release dates on IMDB, I can go either way with it. I put it as 1982 just to be consistent though. Something like The Year of Living Dangerously, it makes sense that that got an official release in Australia in 1982.

Molly Ringwald - "Sixteen Candles" (BA) Kathleen Turner - "Romancing the Stone" (BA)
I've heard that Turner gives an excellent performance in "Crimes of Passion", but I've yet to see that movie.
Melanie Griffith - "Body Double" (BSA)
Anthony Michael Hall - "Sixteen Candles" (BSA)
And a special shout out to Gedde Watanabe as "Long Duk Dong"!
LONG LIVE THE DONGER!!!
