He basically stalks and creates an elaborate fantasy hologram of Leah Brahms; he tries too hard with Christine Henshaw, which isn't strictly creeper behavior, but underscores how bad he is with women. And then there's Aquiel Uhnari, who like Leah, he ends up learning a lot of personal details about, without her knowledge, ends up building a dubious connection with her based on the personal knowledge he's gained about her.
Don't get me wrong, I bring this up more lighthearted than a serious exploration of Geordi's behavior, but man, that dude could come off like a stalker at times. He just casually drops facts he knows about this woman - this stranger, who knows virtually nothing about him - and that he knows about the house she grew up in. I laughed a little, re-watching this episode, when Geordi tells Aquiel he has someone she'll want to see - and sure, the scene cuts to her see her "dog", but I couldn't help wonder about the in between? Did Geordi mention at any point during the walk from the observation lounge to his personal quarter what the surprise was in his personal? Or did she follow him wondering why this stranger was taking her to his personal quarters, alone?

I'm gonna quote a line from Rear Window..."That's a secret, private world you're looking into out there. People do a lot of things in private they couldn't possibly explain in public."
He's just imaginative. The program he saved (pretty sure he never used it again after that booby trap EP) and using that program had saved the ship and subsequently allowed them to save all the other ships after them from falling for that trap.
It was weird that he didn't lock the program or whatever.
For some reason they wrote him as both funny but also incredibly awkward around women. I always noticed how easy he was around Tasha though which is why I always paired them together.
But, dude, you want stalker, see Barkley!!!

Starting a DS9 re-watch, Bashir's kind of bad with how strong he comes on to Jadzia; especially in the episode "Dax" where he offers to accompany Jadzie to her quarters, she says, "That's not necessary," and subsequently decides, "Not necessary - but not forbidden..." and proceeds to follow her anyway. Obviously the main drive behind that was so he'd be in the corridor when she's abducted, and that mentality was looked on more innocently then, but now it seems a little sketchy. Plus, they could have given him some reason to be in the corridor with her...

lol! his personal quarters alone? what is she 12? does she need father's permission first? has her father had the 'what are your intentions with my daughter???' conversation with geordi beforehand? mygod, dude remember these are adults who are in the military. stop bringing 2020 up into this bitch. there was something off with her anyway. why did she think shed make a good officer? her fears of father punishing her? for what, one might ask? the usual kid punishments? bouncing a ball in the house and then ending up breaking a ming vase? well, yeah, you were told. she seemed to be always running scared AND was known to be belligerent and easy to offend. meanwhile she never mentioned doggo Maura in those files [which we later on realize is a gelatinous monster creature] to me that is not the makings of a strong, capable officer. tbh... almost like a poster child for affirmative action within starfleet.

I would call this comment a radical interpretation of the text. Again, while we know who Geordi is, and we know why he was taking her to his quarters; from her perspective, he's a total stranger taking her to a secluded location. And I'll say again, because apparently reading comprehension has become a super power, the whole observation to start with was a fucking joke.

I watched the episode as I wrote it. What secluded location did HE take HER to??? The part where SHE took HIM to HER bedroom aboard that space outpost??? Maddon, dude do you even comprehend what you wrote???

All I can say is, I wouldn't want to be the one who has to hose down the holodeck between customers.
