I don't know that's she's explicitly gay. Mind you, I hate old Scooby Doo, so I have not seen the entirety of it but I don't recall any scene where she scissors Daphne or even kisses another girl.

i love the scooby doo cartoons almost as much as i love pancakes. Scooby Doo blows. I hate that show, at least the OG. My first girlfriend once got me a Scooby Doo pillow ironically because I would frequently go on about how much I despised it. My hatred for it is difficult to quantify and qualify. It is a bottomless pit of hate only equaled by my hatred for Full House. If I linger at your house as a guest and want me to leave, put on Scooby Doo and I'm jumping out your third story window. I would approach it thusly: It is like when somebody tells you they hate The Three Stooges; you just nod and accept it even if you like The Three Stooges because you get where they're coming from on a basic, instinctual level.

Why are they even talking about sexuality in a kid’s show?

Along with Sesame Street, The Electric Company, Reading Rainbow, and 3 2 1 Contact - the scooby doo shows somehow made me the tolerable nerd I am today.

This was for the 2002 & 2004 movies so yeah, you are talking 20 yrs ago, dude.
I enjoyed those movies. He has the right to his opinion.
Did she ever have a date? Did she ever have a boyfriend?

I hate every element of it. If I were tied down and a car battery was hooked to my nipples and I was forced to say something nice, it would be that the character designs are memorable and iconic.

Why are they even talking about sexuality in a kid’s show? Boredom. James Gunn admitted that the 2002 movie initially got a R rating from the MPAA. Whether it was that version or the PG13 one, I do remember hearing that Velma and Daphne were explicitly meant to be lesbians in the original version.

Most likely trolling. Now Bug Bunny on the other hand was unquestionably gay:

It seems that pedo Gunn is explicitly wrong about this.

i love the scooby doo cartoons almost as much as i love pancakes. The new Scooby Doo show on Boomerang has horrible animation Especially Fred. Looks like it is drawn by the same people who do Family Guy.
