For instance, though I wouldn't mind seeing a ballet performance before I die (though if I don't, it won't be a huge regret), I have absolutely NO desire to EVER see Opera, especially a foreign language performance (I don't even know......are there all-English operas?) that is ALL singing (again, because I don't even know, are there any that are NOT all singing?), and MANY hours in length (that said, I've seen, and even enjoyed The Phantom Of The Opera.....but (supposedly) that's not true opera).  So......what are some common (or uncommon) things that others may have on their bucket lists, that you know you will NEVER have on yours ??   SAVE FERRIS |

Rafting down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon.
Taking a trip to Ride all the Roller-coasters in all of the parks.
Ditto: Flume rides !
Sky-diving !
RE: Opera ~ yes there are all English Operas but not knowing what they are singing works better because you can concentrate on the music and voices. Reading the story ahead of time helps.
The Magic Flute is fun and painless as is Hansel and Gretel.
Ballet: The Nutcracker and Swan Lake are good places to start for Non-Ballet-o-philes like us

I just read a sad story of a girl who just graduated high school and thought she’d try skydiving as a way to celebrate. She and the instructor she was diving with died because of a parachute malfunction and her whole family was there watching it happen.

There are places I’d like to see if I had the opportunity but traveling the world isn’t really something I had much interest in like most people.

I have a fear of heights so things like parachuting or bungee jumping are definitely out.
Travelling the world has lost a lot of its magic in recent years. When I was a young kid my parents were excessive travellers, so I feel like I've seen enough of the world already.
Taking hard drugs is something I wouldn't do either. I know some people who say they want to try heroin or LSD just once in their lives, but I have zero interest in that.
Getting a tattoo. I'm just not into that sort of body art.

Becoming competent at tennis.
Decades ago, I thought that it would be such a great activity. The exercise would be invaluable. It doesn't require massive amounts of expensive gear. And, the outfits were "cute," (fashion first).
I took one lesson, and learned that fending off incoming missiles is not my idea of a good time.

International travel. Just google what tourist hotspots are like in real life, seas of ppl taking selfies.
I prefer off the beaten path travel, which is fairly easy & vast for me 'locally' in Canada. Newfoundland, British Columbia, Yukon... I wanna drive.

Catdad never played tennis a day in his life, but that did not prevent him from developing tennis elbow. |

There are a fair few places I'd like to see, but there are tons of others that I'd just as soon avoid as well due to climate, politics, etc. In my (admittedly relatively limited) experience, travelling can be fun but it's very draining. |
