In December of 1947, 16 year old James (Jimmy) O’Neill went to work on the docks in Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city. He left his home on Leamy street on a cold December morning. He would never return home. Many have speculated that Jimmy stowed aboard a ship bound for America and started a new life somewhere. Others think there may be something more sinister at play. Either way, his only surviving relative, his brother Frankie, still holds out hope that he is alive and well. For years there have been communication from South Africa and Australia that Jimmy is alive but there have been no leads that have turned up anything. For over 70 years hopes of Jimmy are fading but Frankie has vowed not to stop until he finds answers a to what exactly happened his brother. www.thejournal.ie/missing-person-since-1947-2545478-Jan2016/
