RiP.
I'm not a fan of his direct work, but I love Judas Priest's cover of Green's "The Green Manalishi (With the Two Pronged Crown)". The actual song starts at 1:35 in the video below.

So sad to hear, maybe the best British blues player ever and certainly in the top 3 if not. What is ironic, is that probably over half the people who own a copy of "Rumours" have never heard of him. RIP Peter.

RIP Peter. I won $100 in a bar once. Someone played Oh Well. guy setting next to me asked "who is this?" When I said Fleetwood Mac, he thought I was bull shitting him, as if I has said ABBA or Culture Club. Too many people think of FM and the Stevie Nick era only, never heard of Bob Welch, Danny Kirwan or Peter Green

Should have name changed probably. The early entitle was a blues band and the later one a AOR band. Rumours has a few decent tunes on it but not my cup of tea really. Prefer the earlier incarnation.

I much prefer the Peter Green FM the the Stevie Nicks FM. Every song of the Nicks FM sounds the same.
Been a lot of bans who have changed musical styles and not the name. And the two constants were Mick Fleetwood and John McVie

Each weekend there's an informative 5 hour radio show (90.9 FM) from Chicago called Blues Before Sunrise. Steve Cushing shares his astounding Blues collection including interviews, history and anecdotes. The show's outro is always Green's "Albatross."
R.I.P.
We can't have Part 2 without Part 1.
