We have coolish, foggy summers. So, I have soup all year 'round. I have a couple of chicken backs in the freezer, and will likely make broth for lentil soup soon.

Try Gazpacho or Vichyssoise. These soups are served cold and are delicious.

Made a big pot of fresh from the garden vegie soup the other day .... MMMMMmmmmmm ! I like to add some freshly cooked something elses to what is left day to day to keep it interesting. It was a BIG pot so it lasts several days.

It the A/C is on strong, it can be pretty cold inside, though the humidity here makes it funky. I made burgers, onions, and mushrooms on the grill yesterday and need to use up this chili (dated 5 months ago). Will combine for lunch.

I use to make a 'summertime' soup with zucchini, chicken broth, cream cheese, onion and I can't remember what else, but you served it cold and it was delicious. I need to find the recipe again.
