I like that Samantha has a strong, solid head on her shoulder. She's confident, and doesn't WANT to use witchcraft, where-as Jeannie wants to resort to magic to solve every problem. Sam wants to rely on her wits first, even with Darin's overbearing pressure for her to not let her be herself.
To be honest, Darin's mother might be a bit of a deal-breaker for me. Frank's okay but sheesh, the mother, she's a nutter.

If the duel was on Bewitched, than Samantha would win If the duel was on I dream of Jeannie, than Jeannie would win
If it was on a neutral show, than who ever the writer wanted to win would win.

Samantha. If she couldn't beat Jeannie with sheer power, she'd win by using her wits.

Samantha. If she couldn't beat Jeannie with sheer power, she'd win by using her wits. Plus if she’s that powerful using just her nose imaging what she could do if she went full Hogwarts.

I like Jeannie. She's more fun. Problem with Samantha is that she's also from the current world. Darren refused her to use any powers even if she doesn't need up rightfully humiliating that ex of his.
One thing I didn't like is that in Samantha's world, endora doing something to derwood, Samantha couldn't undo it. Mutherr??? Mutherr you come back here and fix Darren!!!

Wasn't this topic already thoroughly covered on an episode of That 70's Show? Bewitched must have broken all existing records for plot inconsistency and internal logic with that trope. Depending on how the story needed to run, Sam could either undo any and every spell conjured up by another, or else according to some esoteric rule known only to The Witches Council (a/k/a the writers) she couldn't break any spell cast by another. I swear, sometimes this complete contradiction of what she could and couldn't undo would occur all in the same episode.

Being perpetually horny adolescent boys, we all know how that debate ended up...

I found Barbara Eden more attractive, but not in Jeannie. I thought she was most attractive in, of all things, 7 Faces of Dr. Lao: On the other hand, I found Elizabeth Montgomery cute in Bewitched, and prefer Sam as a character to Jeannie. And I thought she was really attractive in Thriller: Meanwhile, I think Bewitched had one great season (Season 1), whereas I can’t think of a single great season of IDoJ. Or, to put it all in other words, what’s a fella to do?

I'd hate to see that simply because I pointed out how you responded to point out the irrelevant part of that post while completely ignoring the (much larger) part that wasn't. But it's totally up to you.

Always been a Samantha man myself. She's the model white witch.
For genies, I'll stick with the big blue guy from Aladdin (1992), thank you very much.

If you don't want responses to your posts, it's probably not a good idea to post them. FWIW, blocking people does not stop them from responding to your posts. I guess you'll have to ignore me the old fashioned way.
