April 20th of this year. There was a loud crash during the night. I thought it may have been burglars. I went downstairs to check it out. My father's bedroom door was closed, so I figured it wasn't he. I didn't see anything out of the extraordinary, so I let it be.
It was until the morning when father complained of a bad headache. I called Telehealth, and they would get back to us. I got a call from them at 9:00pm - saying to take him to Emerg at the local hospital.
He had a CAT Scan scheduled for that night, which came back negative.
Coincidentally enough, it was a year ago to the day where I made an appearance at the same hospital because I had an allergic reaction to something.
Last time I was in the hospital for myself was July 10th - for another allergic reaction. I sat down at one of the desks at work, and I started to get hives on the back of my legs, the back of my arms and stomach area. They whisked me up to Emerg. It was a hat-trick of firsts for me that day:
First time I had to use an EpiPen. First time I had called 911 for myself. First time riding in an ambulance.

In the summer of '19, I visited a friend who was being treated in the aftermath of a stroke ... and, doing very well, now.
The last time I was a patient was in '03, when I parted ways with my appendix.

(Backyard of the hospital) July 2020. I went there for a COVID-19 test.
(Inside hospital) February 2020. I visited my father.
The last time I was a patient was in 1992. I had my tonsils and adenoids removed.

Stammerhead Sorry to hear that. The last time was when my mom went to emergency. I can't remember why but, thankfully, it wasn't serious My mum’s body had been deteriorating for some time due to heart failure and other conditions. Then she fell over and broke her leg on the day before her 94th birthday and then things went really downhill. Poor lady, God bless her

A couple of months ago. I had been sick for a while being short of breath and with aches and pains, but hadn't wanted to go to visit my doctor at the hospital because of the virus, but I kept getting worse so I finally went. I had to do a blood test as per health requirements but it came back clear of Corona. I did have asthma, bronchitis and throat infection though.

Terrible disease Thanks. My Mum always used to worry about getting cancer even though it didn't run in the family...on either side. She died of complications from surgery two years before my first brother had his first bout with cancer. Since then 3 of my cousins have died from it as well-all different ones. I don't know if it's worse if it runs in the family & you have something to go off of, or not having anyone previously get cancer...at least not biological family. I hate hospitals, I hate doctors(no offense to anyone connected)-just always have screwed up my families' diagnoses. I feel for anyone who gets it, and feel for their families.

That's a lot of cancer in one family. I'm so sorry
