Can you name a good animated movie, or one you personally like, that has less than stellar animation?

I was going to say the same thing. The animation isn't the best, but it's a fun movie.

Man that was a weird film. I think the animations goes quite well with the tone they were going for.

Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight (2008) is 2d animation mixed with bad cgi.

Wizards (1977) is one of my favorite movies, but due to money troubles the animation is wildly inconsistent. Some of the film is traditional cel animation, some is rotoscoped, and some scenes aren't even animated and are just narration over still images.

Maybe it's me but I thought that Heavy Metal had good animation.

And yet somehow Ralph pulls it off and makes a real good visual movie.

South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut ^^^ Bingo Trey Parker & Matt Stone wear it like a badge of honor (over the years they have made fun of how bad their animation is haha). God I love those guys.

The animation in some direct-to-video Disney sequels like Aladdin and the King of Thieves and The Lion King II: Simba's Pride wasn't the best, but I still enjoyed watching them.

Battle for Terra.
Animation that would have been cutting-edge in computer games 7 years earlier, but I love the story so much that I count the movie among my Top 10.

I like a lot of the PEANUTS movies (and shows). Their animation looks the way it does due to the low budget, but I feel it plays to their strength. Much like a lot of the FOX adult cartoons, the lack of constant movement makes the dialogue-driven humor funnier.

I wonder why the marketing team chose that image of the terminator bot to be the poster boy for the film? That's a good question. I tried to find the the answer, and in the process discovered that there was apparently an alternate poster which, IMO, is nowhere near as good: So my guess is that Necron 99 was chosen because he looks cool. I don't even know who is pictured on the other poster - is that supposed to be Elinore?
