Brother?. As a long time NBA fan this is one of my favorite conspiracies of all time and a break from all the murder and crime (not that I don’t find those cases interesting as well)! I am also on mobile so sorry for any formatting issues. In 2017 NBA player Markieff Morris of the Wizards suffered a bad ankle injury after only 11 minutes of playing in the playoffs. He was taken out the rest of the game and from the looks of it, wouldn’t be able to play for weeks. But to everyone’s surprise, not only did he play the next game, but he had his best performance of the playoffs. This lead many people to wonder, had Markieff’s brother Marcus, who was also an NBA player, filled in for him? Here is a photo of the twins for reference (I don’t use imgur often so if I messed anything up let me know and I can fix it). imgur.com/a/zm77IIj As you can see, Markieff and Marcus are not only identical twins, but they have identical tattoos as well. The only differences in tattoos are minor differences on their chests, which could not be seen under a jersey. Marcus also played for the Pistons at the time, who were already out of the playoffs, leading some people to believe this allowed Marcus the time to fill in for his brother. The two are also similar in height, Marcus being only an inch shorter than Markieff. It is also worth noting that the twins had pretended to be each other before. In 2013, Markieff admitted they had switched jerseys in AAU ball. However, Marcus Morris has also stated on twitter that they did not switch places in the playoffs. There is the argument that the brothers have different play styles, and that the player on the court that night definitely resembled Markieff more. However, some fans argue that aside from Markieff playing closer to the inside and Marcus being a bit of a better shooter, their play styles are quite similar. Here is a great write up by the Ringer on the conspiracy, with even more information than I can remember off the top of my head. www.theringer.com/2017/5/3/16038328/2017-nba-playoffs-markieff-marcus-morris-twins-conspiracy-corner-ea07a7499f8c
