Known about it since the 1980's. Still haven't seen it. Maybe one day.

Martin Scorsese was working in Netherlands several years earlier with Surinamese director Pim De Parra on 'Obsessions' (1969). Scorsese was high on Woodstock and keen to ride the "sex wave" he'd heard about, having abandoned his plans to become a priest. Paul Verhoeven's controversial melodrama 'Turkish Delight' inspired De Parra's influential political horror 'My Nights With Susan, Sandra, Olga & Julie' (1975).

I can understand Scorsese's zeal and feeling inspired. "Turkish Delight" would be able to excite somebody. Never an earthier film was ever made. I love that quality. Rutger Hauer was stupendously charismatic. With eyes of plutonium blue! Wow! I need to watch "Soldier of Orange".
