It looks more like a detective Batman. Looks good, I like the tone.
But I think I’ve seen so many young Batman stories. I’d prefer the grizzled Ben Affleck Batman who is done and with stubble. 20 years of being Batman.

You know, after watching this I'm starting to think it's a shame that this is not set in the same universe as Joker, as the tones of the two movies look pretty compatible.

You know, after watching this I'm starting to think it's a shame that this is not set in the same universe as Joker, as the tones of the two movies look pretty compatible. Flash 2 will bring them together. |

I like that they're not showing us The Riddler. Makes me think they've created something special. Dano is a brilliant actor so I can only imagine at this point what we're in store for.

I didn't think anything could top the MCU movie trailers for lame soundtracks--congratulations--DC topped it with the Chaz Grunge MTV song.
Batman sounds like Kevin Conroy on helium.

Looks really interesting, but going to have to reserve judgment (naturally). Pattinson looks right in the costume, but his Bruce Wayne seemed a little…young? More like grownup Dick Grayson than Bruce Wayne?
Wright’s a great choice for Gordon, though I do wish J.K. Simmons got another, larger crack at the role.
Riddler’s my favorite Batman villain; the folks at the Batman subreddit claim it’s been confirmed that the Hush-looking bandaged/goggled guy is the Riddler in this. Is that right? If so, I’m not sure how I think about it…

I think it looks good but nothing ground breaking though. It's definitely playing it safe with using Riddler and Catwoman and Penguin and just borrowing the tone and aesthetic of Se7en. So it's nothing super inspiring as a superhero film.

If so, I’m not sure how I think about it… Would make sense. He wrote "No more lies" on the guy's face he taped, which would correlate Riddler's riddles throughout the trailer. He's got some past vendetta, the victim of a lie apparently. and he says Bruce is a part of it. Definitely Hush inspired.
