I was just watching 'Ocean's 11' with Julie Roberts. Why do women blow up their lips? It is distracting. Her upper lip looks like she turned it inside out and super glued it in place. I see women on TV doing the same. Even news anchors. When they start talking, I am distracted, and all I hear is "wah, wah, wah wah wah." Don't they realize they look like clowns when they do that?

Did she actually get anything done to make them bigger? She's always had large lips.

Yes, her lips have always been quite large, going back to the early 90s when she first started appearing in films.

Part of it is insecurity. Men keep talking about how sexy DSL are, so women go out trying to recreate that "sexy" pout. Thing is, more often than not, it isn't the size of the lips themselves, it's how long (or short) the upper lip is (between nostrils and lip). Injections weigh the lips down making it look...heavy & weird. Not everyone is a good candidate.
I think women do this in part because of what features they hear guys talking about.
