The song lyrics to Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen.
People assume it’s because he used it in “Watchmen” and have shallow thinking.
Think about it. “I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord, but you don’t really care for music do ya?”
That’s a shot at WB. He’s talking about his movies striking a chord with fans (the millions of #TheSnyderCut fans) but WB does care for his movies (or Geoffrey Johns).
“Even though it all went wrong, I’ll stand before the Lord or song with nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah.” It all went wrong his DCEU plans were f***ed up. He kept his head up, and stuck to his guns.
Then the fans helped him realize his vision. HBOMax etc... now he’s celebrating.
Just like his other films, they are over most people’s heads. He’s big into allegory. Too bad not a lot of people don’t get his films...

I assumed it was being used as "Hallelujah," the director's cut you've been waiting for is here.

So what allegory does the jar of piss represent in Batman versus Superman then? Perhaps a meta moment about how Zack presents jars of piss to his fans but calls them Granny's Peach Tea and they drink it anyway.

So what allegory does the jar of piss represent in Batman versus Superman then? It is so over your head it can't even be explained to you in a way that you will understand. That is the level of brilliance you are witnessing. Take it in.
