Not worth sticking.
"Disney/20th Century Studio’s long-delayed New Mutants finally opened, seeing $3.1M on Friday. That’s the most robust opening day we’ve seen to date in a marketplace since mid-March, when the big circuits closed down. Eight states remain closed, including big hubs NYC and LA, thus hurting a great degree of business. The Marvel movie, which was conceived as a Breakfast Club horror YA movie, should come in at the lower end of its expectations at $7M-$8M."
So predictably not done well.

Didn't they claim how close to R-rated this movie is suppose to be? YA is Goosebumps. lol

Not great, but not as bad as many have made it out to be.

I saw it yesterday. Mediocre and forgettable but watchable. 6/10.

Well so far it's made $8.3 million in US in 6 days. Rough.

I saw it yesterday. I was the only person in the theater. It was only marginally better than Dark Phoenix, but it was better. So, did the franchise go out on a note as resounding as X2 or even X1? Is it as worthy of praise as First Class? Negative. The series ends with a forgettable streaming leftover entry.

I don't know what their latest expectations were...but they should be low for multiple reasons.
This movie was stuck in post production hell for like 3 years and its being released when not all movie theatres are open and people are actively avoiding go out of their homes. It's bound to fail financially.

With the Foxmen movies, I think it eventually got to the point where we could predict how good a movie was going to be even before it came out. I know Logan and DOFP looked like they were going to be big hits even judging by the trailers. This movie on the other hand had "forgettable" written all over it from the get go.

Yeah this film a flipped, even with the context of a ongoing pandemic.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering the constant delays.
Still glad it's finally out and over with.

Calling this movie a flop isn't fair. Nobody is going to theaters. Look at Tenet. All things considered, New Mutants has performed respectably.
