They founded a shoe company called Sportfarbrik Gebrüder Dassler in 1919, but split ways after a feud that no one really knows the cause of. After this, they founded the two rival shoe companies.

I was surprised to see actor Julia Louise-Dreyfuss (sp?) listed in the top 10 American heiress list years ago, from Adidas. She has crushed network TV. I guess being one year and booted from SNL did not mean she had to wait tables and sleep on couches back then, lol. Good for her.

I remember once seeing an article of the richest celebrities and being shocked by her net worth. It was then that I learned that she came from big money. |

Despite being German myself I only found out about this when their story was recently turned into a German TV movie. It must be horrible when two siblings despise each other so deeply.
