no ... I am one of the "lucky" ones who tastes bitter instead of sweet with the artificial sweeteners and stevia A term for such folks (as you know) is "supertasters". Does that also happen with non-nutritive sweeteners such as monk fruit or sugar alcohols like erythritol?

Although I have never tried Yoohoo, a decent alternative to chocolate milk for me is unsweetened vanilla almond milk blended with ChocZero syrup. ChocZero uses monk fruit as a sweetener. A one-cup serving of that blend is 30 calories and actually has a significant/surprising amount of fiber.

The regular stuff (sweetened with sugar) is too sweet for me while the unsweetened needs a wee bump. I don't really drink that much dairy milk, but I keep some one-percent around for the occasional cookie or peanut butter on bread/toast - or because certain recipes don't work well with almond milk. I do go though about a gallon of unsweetened almond milk per week though, using it as a dairy milk substitute, most notably in my NutriSmoothies. Today's + three more days NutriSmoothies: Strawberry-Strawberry and Peanut Butter Cup. After those, Apple Cinnamon Roll comes up in the rotation. Honeycrisp apples are on sale (at Safeway) for 99 cents/lb.

I only go looking for what is used as a sweetening ingredient when I eat something and it tastes bitter when it should not ..

Stevia only tastes bitter to me if that's the only thing sweetening a beverage I make 2 packets of kool-aid and use 1 and 3/4ths cup stevia and the last 4th cup sugar. Its enough to make the stevia not be bitter to me but also not giving too much sugar that'll keep me up at nite
