Recently put DOOM into the PS4 to find it required a 26Gb patch which took 8 hours to download - that's fucked up! Nobody should be forced to download a file that size. Now I'll probably get a bunch of replies on how slow my broadband is.

It's starting to become the norm. 26gb is still a pretty big patch though. Halo 5 had like a 40gb patch lol.

Well that's fucking fantastic! I can't figure there's anyway around them now, besides disconnecting the PS4. I plan to replay Uncharted 4 soon, I shudder to think how big the patch will be for it.

I've noticed a disturbing trend (on Steam, at least) of games "patching" themselves by re-downloading the entirety of the game.
Dark Souls 3 is particularly notorious for this.
It could be that.
