This calls for a celebration! After 7 months of no income, and sending proposals and CVs everywhere, I finally got hired. Its a 2 month gig only but (and thats a big but, I cannot lie), its an extremelly fun project. I am so happy!
the timing is Super unfortunate since I am at the hospital and may be going through with the surgery soon, But this project is a dream come true anyway so I remain excited.
It really came last minute though, the 7 months of no income really sucked the hell out of me financially.
But it shows how not losing hope and keeping the ball rolling (and sending out CVs proposals and continuing to ask for work) makes sense!

Congratulations nora! That's great news. I know this is a relief Thank you yes it is. Especially after so many companies rejecting me or not showing any interest. I got so many rejection letters in the past few months! It really can bring ones spirit down. But I kept telling myself “all you need is one yes” and kept applying for everything that came out in my field each day and sending proposals out there... This client told me last week they need to run it by their CEO to approve and I thought “oh man, this is gonna turn into a no real quick” but turns out I was sceptical for no reason. Optimism and resiliency works better

thank you all. it really is a great relief, knowing my next rent payment will be covered by new income instead of the last drops of my savings...

Congratulations. I hope things go well with your new job. thank you. Having a kick off call today with the client - never had a work call at a hospital before, hoping it will go well, its after all my procedures are finished and I am alone in my room and there are no machines beeping so (fingers crossed) it should be ok.
