You just quote a person and add a reply to the bottom of the list? And.... Hope that (especially if you didn't directly quote them) that they figure out that you are talking to them? Have I got that right?

Have I got that right? Yes, but I try to edit. Some forums with this layout create that cascade like imdb did in the quote process and it becomes unwieldy. I like this forum's format better than imdb's personally.

I like this forum's format better than imdb's personally. It's still missing the useful nesting mode. It's a more traditional message board otherwise.

There's no way to avoid a reply since there's no nesting
So if I don't normally read a particular poster, I have to read it here or actively avert my eyes from reading it which seems sillier than not clicking on the post for some reason.

It's just flat mode only squished over to one side.
^practicing writing out the new old emoticons.

True enough, but I found it really handy going flat to find the newest posts and then going nest to read particular strands of a conversation. Won't be as easy to keep up with tangents on here, and everyone will have to get used to quoting, which just takes up more space. One neat thing here is the "Participated" tab in the upper right corner that alerts to new posts in the threads you've posted in.
