This film stands up. My third watch after theatre. I would place this in the watch/re-watch underrated category. I'm watching the R version, not sure if it has been edited. The cast has big names.

I liked it enough to rewatch. I think some cgi, editing, and music choices date it though. The three ship movies: Deep Rising, Virus, Ghost Ship...

I liked it enough to rewatch. I think some cgi, editing, and music choices date it though. I feel about the same... I'll rewatch it every now and then, too... The three ship movies: Deep Rising, Virus, Ghost Ship... I don't think I have ever seen 'Deep Rising'... I'll have to give it a try sometime. ( To Anyone Here) Have you seen... 'Lost Voyage' (2001) ? A paranormal investigator ( Judd Nelson), hitches a ride with a news crew and salvage team that is going to investigate the sudden and mysterious return of the cruise ship, the "Corona Queen"... that disappeared with all crew and passengers, 25 years earlier, in the Bermuda Triangle... in hopes of finding out what happened to his parents. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_VoyageIf you "liked" (or Not)... 'Ghost Ship' (2002)... You might feel the same about 'Lost Voyage' (2001). They are very similar films. Typical Hollywood "Twin Spin" concept that we've seen before with other movies over the years. I like them both about equally... In fact, I think it's time for a "Twin Spin" rewatch.

I saw it when it came out and again about 10 years after, rate it 6/10.

It’s alright but the opening scene alone is worth the price of admission.

You read a lot about how it wound up being nothing like originally planned, originally going to be a psychological thriller, and the end result was so far off track, some of the actors disowned the movie. Below, also released in 2002, really seems to hit a lot closer to that mark of what Ghost Ship SHOULD'VE been and was originally going to be. It's a U-boat instead of a cruise ship, but still...
