My pharmacy has now started this new "thing" with COVID being on the rise. Even with the drive-thru where there's GLASS between you, your car window AND the pharmacy staff, they're keeping the metal gate down. Inside the pharmacy, they're keeping the metal gate down and all transactions are done under the gate, so you no longer can even see the staff workers you are doing business with.
It's really bizarre when I think not that long ago when just wearing a mask felt like we were being protective of ourselves and others with this virus. This is taking it to a whole other level. What's next? Decontamination suits?

the metal gate aint gonna do shit! I guess their thinking is that it's forcing an even greater barrier between customer and staff, no-contact type of thing.

Ooh, I hope they sell haz-mat suits in a nice variety of colors. A soft lavender would be nice.

They need to be taken out in the alley and shot in the back of the head. Now, THAT actually sounds like overkill. No pun intended. ha ha... But in all seriousness... the overthinking of this has instigated a lot of panic and fear that would never have happened if it wasnt for the overuse of technology and unlimited data usage. all these things have happened because of the mania and panic caused by the masses being forever scrolling their phones. common sense and simple problem solving have gone completely out the window. people can no longer find their way home if they drop their phone in a puddle. tehy are literally lost. thats why #LIFEHACKS are such a thing. that shit is taught in GIRLSCOUTS AND SUCH... AND NOW WE HAVE TO REMIND PEOPLE OF #WORSTCASESENARIOS so they can save their lives. they are too busy looking what the kardashians are doing instead of ways to save their lives JUST IN CASE. ex: THE UNIVERSAL SIGN OF DISTRESS -- IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE -- is to fly the AMERICAN FLAG UPSIDE DOWN. I AINT LYING.

Many people are taking this way to far. This is true. I see people mowing their yards with masks on. And I see people on bike trails and hiking trails wearing them.

I thought maybe it was a fluke so I drove by them today on my way to pick up some food for my dog, and yep, sure enough, the pharmacy was indeed open because cars were in line, but the metal panel was pulled down behind the glass. Seriously, why are they doing this?
Another new thing that's happening is when you phone them, it's now "normal" to be put on hold for up to 40 minutes to inquire about your prescription or just to speak to the pharmacist. It's never been like this before. All of this is brand new. They also do COVID testing through their drive-thru at their #1 window during certain hours (where their metal gate is up), and when they stop testing, the gate gets pulled down. Fine, I get it. But meanwhile, there are BIG signs all over the glass that read what the COVID testing hours are at the drive-up window. So why would BOTH be necessary? (ie: signs AND gate drawn?)
This is strange.
