The only real help I got from that was telling my life story to a medical student from the university I'm now re-enrolled at and he didn't even think I needed to be locked up. He asked if I felt safe as a young woman living with 3 male roommates, which I hadn't thought about before and felt like what I now realize is sexual harassment was something I just had to put up with for cheap rent. I moved out of that place 2 months later. He happed to be Russian and was more proof for me that Russian men are angels.
One psychiatrist said I was there voluntarily. Then another psychiatrist power tripped and lock me up, making it a 5-day stay, which was not helpful at all and a waste of my time. That experience put me off from relying on "professionals" to feel less shitty so I made changes to my life like going on vacation, changing neighbourhoods, not dating any more western men, and going back to school. I'm the happiest I've ever been for the past 7 months now and have not felt the need to take any antidepressants this year.
