I don't have any pets, but neighbor kitties, "Astro" and "Rascal," visit whenever my back door is open. And, that's usually.

We have one dog and two cats (used to be three cats) because the young folk liked having pets.

I don't have any pets at the moment, but I've been thinking about getting a chameleon. I saw lots of them in Madagascar and Tanzania, and I just love those little guys. Unfortunately, they require a very controlled climate, meaning heat lamps, UV lamps, and humidity control. They also need a large cage filled with plants, and they only eat insects. It seems like a lot of work. We'll see.
ETA: When I was growing up, we practically lived in a zoo. At one point, we had 3 dogs, 2 cats, hamsters, a ferret, a parakeet, 2 bunnies, and an aquarium.

One little white dog
One black cat
A pair of budgies (Steve and Eydie)
Part of the "fun" is always having to keep the cat away from the birds, and separating the two four-leggers when the otherwise meek little dog inexplicably goes full-Cujo on the cat.
The dog is my mother's companion animal. The cat keeps the mice out.

Two cats: Siblings. They are both in my avatar. He's in the foreground - she's in the background. He is short haired - she is long haired.
I love my kitties!

As any cat host knows, you don't own them; they own you. As the saying goes, dogs have owners, cats have staff.
There are now only Greta, The Green-Eyed Gray Tabby and Loquacious Lucy, The Talkative Tortie (she'll be 20 in March, and looks and acts like a girl half her age), but 5 or so years back, there were five kitties and one dachshund.
Life is less complicated now.

I no long have a pet, but I once owned a dog and a gerbil at the same time. They liked looking at each other. I once had 14 gerbils even though I only had 2 to begin with. God knows how that happened.

I used to know this woman. Some of her dogs used to launch yap attacks upon my bemused Labrador.

we foster cats, currentyl have two brothers in the house. we had cats before and would opt for having a pair again if we ever “own” again, so they wouldnt get lonely if they are alone in the house during the day etc. Which had not happened a lot in the last 9 months i love all animals but think especially cats are awesome and have healing properties. cat purring just spreads positive energy i think.

No pets now as I work too many hours. But growing up our family at one point had: a dachshund, a dalmation, 3 bunnies(mine, which 1 brother dubbed one-the Killer rabbit), a squirrel monkey, a parakeet, a duck, a python, and a tarantula. The monkey, python, and tarantula another brother got & my mom did not know about for quite some time. His bedroom was in the basement. One day my mom was making her spaghetti sauce, letting it sit while she gabbed on the phone to neighbor/best friend. She spots this long furry arm stretch out under the basement door. My mom being oh so very used to all my brothers, said I'll need to call you back. Goes to the door, opens it, out flys Coco-who goes straight for the sauce. No!. My mom in calm manner grabs a piece of the bread she was preparing for garlic bread, manages to coax Coco back to the door, then throws the bread down. slams the door. Needless to say she was not too happy to learn that everyone in the family...inc. dad knew about Coco. And before anyone gets up in arms-this was 40+yrs ago, & we all took extremely great care of all the animals who outlived the normal age range. Large family, large pet army .

I will always have pets. I can't imagine my life without them. PS: As per your list, however, I could do without the mice in the walls or attic or the bees that find their way inside.
