I actually just started watching this show three days ago and now near end of season 3 so yeah, I enjoy it very much (I only have two big gripes with it but Maleks sex appeal and the cinematographic choices make me tolerate it) Other than Elliot my favorite character is by far Irving. Loving Irving. Great character great performance. Leon is pretty dope too. How about you? (pls no spoilers I am still one and a bit season behind).

Darlene (played by Carly Chaikin) became my favourite character in the show over the course of the four seasons. I only started watching Mr. Robot for the first time on Blu-ray a few months ago and recently finished the series. I'm glad I took a chance on this show, which allowed me to see Rami Malek's acting that everyone was raving about and, most importantly, I gained a newfound respect for Carly Chaikin as an actress. Even when I was bored during certain episodes, I had her character of Darlene to keep me interested/entertained (especially since she had some of the best lines in the series). Carly Chaikin's praises must definitely be sung for her performance throughout the series as a whole. When watching Suburgatory, I had no idea she was capable of showing so much depth and raw emotion, but she really impressed me. I'm not sure I would've been able to stick with the show if not for her/Darlene. I even found the series' ending fairly satisfying and I think Darlene being the final shot/getting the final line of the show helped with that.

But maybe things will change as I progress with the series. But so far I find Darlen an annoying problem dog

I enjoyed the series a lot. Season 3 being my favorite. after Elliot it was Irving Leon and Whiterose whose presence I enjoyed the most. I did like the special brother sister bond too thats true. good show. 8/10.

To answer OP's question: Elliot and it's not even close. I've begrudgingly watched four seasons of this Matrix/Fight Club/American Psycho/V For Vendetta blended mess purely for Rami Malek's skills as an actor.

I'd say that's where Darlene's story arc initially starts, but then slowly develops from there as well, she's not a cool girl entirely.

The paralels with Fight Club were very annoying to me, almost ruined season 1 to me as it felt simply too derivative. Especially with not just the motivations style, plot and themes but also the names and music being borrowed from Fight Club as well. 😅😂
