I love me some unfiltered, raw honey just due to the variation in textures. I don't get too much into the flavored ones, although I've had them.
As an avid tea drinker, I tear through honey. Every night, after I'm done working, cleaning up after dinner and walking the dog, I sit down with a nice cup of tea (sometimes two cups) with a teaspoon of honey and settle in with the Mrs. I probably go through a jar every 2 weeks or so.

clover.
i had some yogurt a long while ago that came with a little sidebar of 'stuff' -- chocolate chips, things like that depending on what you get... there was one with honey and it was REALLY GOOD! i looked at the side and the said it was CLOVER so i was able to find clover honey in a jar and here we are.

The best thing about honey is that you can try out all sorts of different varieties, and it never, ever expires.

RE: Babies and honey Can babies have honey? The recommendation for when babies can have honey continues to be after age one. That includes both honey in its raw form and other foods cooked or baked with honey. The AAP Pediatric Nutrition Handbook states, "Infants younger than 12 months should avoid all sources of honey." Why Honey Is Considered Unsafe For Babies The reason to delay honey is not because of a concern over food allergies or choking hazards, but of a serious disease called infant botulism. Infant botulism is caused when a baby ingests spores from a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum. This bacteria produces a toxin inside the baby's digestive tract that can be absorbed into the body and have serious effects on the baby's muscle control. In extreme cases, which are rare, the breathing muscles can become paralyzed. If mechanical assistance is not provided, the baby could die. www.verywellfamily.com/when-can-babies-have-honey-284244#:~:text=The%20recommendation%20for%20when%20babies%20can%20have%20honey,12%20months%20should%20avoid%20all%20sources%20of%20honey.%22

I once stayed at a hotel that had actual honeycombs in its breakfast buffet. It was pretty good. A quick search just now shows that you can buy raw honeycombs, though I don't think I've ever seen it for sale.

I like honey, but I have it so rarely that I haven't discerned any difference. I know that there are varieties from flowers, and regions. It might be interesting to do a comparison taste test. I wonder if there is a commercial package that features packets, or small containers, of various origins. I wouldn't buy numerous jars.

There may be one in Napa, but that's far for you. I was so lucky. I grew up across the field from a 'Honey farm' If my brother or I pulled weeds we were paid in honey! They had the best natural honey. I don't keep it in the house because I have ants. But now that I got a Pest control contract I may get some.

I have seen FMs sell jars of honey with a bit of honeycomb in the jar.
