I don't care for the texture either, nova do you like ricotta? I don't think I ever had it. I've only had it in lasagna that I know of. The taste is good in that. Some people substitute cottage cheese for ricotta

Some people substitute cottage cheese for ricotta Catman has found that if you use cottage cheese with the whey, you can bake up a nice lasagna without boiling the noodles first. Actually, you kind of need to not cook the noodles so they'll soak up the liquid, or you'll have soupy lasagna, and no one wants that.
