Yeah, I'm putting a 22-pound bird in the oven in an hour or so. Should be plenty for a single man with no company coming over this year.

not this year. Last year I was sure my oven wasn't at the correct temperature. My turkey wasn't done after an hour more than suggested. I'm giving up on turkey for a time. Portuguese beef roast Yum!!

Evidently not. I just checked the menu of the restaurant where I'm going. If they're going to make a special offer of turkey, it isn't reflected on the website. Their Cassoulet has a duck leg in it, so it looks like that's a close as I can get.

It is outdoors, and it's pretty breezy here, too. But, it's not cold. Like a lot of restaurants, they've constructed several outdoor cubicles for diners. The also have a couple of tables on a porch-like projection from the building.
The city opened indoor dining with strict limitations a couple of weeks ago, but there was talk of rescinding that, due to a spike. Under the circumstances, I prefer the outside tables.

Yes. Thanksgiving comes but once a year. So sticking with tradition I always make a turkey. Turned out great and everyone said they loved it and all the fixings!

Final Report: I had the Cassoulet ... with a duck leg, sausages and lots of beans. Much is left over.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
