I picked up a small (1 1/2 lb) chuck roast. And, I've been wanting mashed potatoes. I may/may not go for a veggie, too.
Nuts, let us know how the chicken and dumplings turn out. I've seen Chef John, from "Food Wishes" on YouTube, do dumplings, but haven't tried them.

Beef stew. Had no potatoes, so trying a sweet potato this time. Won't be done until 8:16 pm if it cooks 8 1/2 hours, so I have a feeling I'll be pulling some out early.

A turkey cream sauce with sausage, spinach, broccoli, and onions on top of Banza chickpea rotini.
It will be glorious.

My favourite American grub (or at least I consider it American as that's where it first caressed my taste buds with all the glory of home made goodness, texture and flavour. Cousin Mark called it chicken pastry but it's much the same, isn't it. Not to get at all morbid, but if I were ever faced with a last meal request, this would be it. But only if it were prepared by Cousin Mark of North Carolina. Glory be to the chicken pastry and Glory be to the one who eats it. To your very best health and I sincerely hope you enjoy/enjoyed your special dinner.

I cooked three HUGE chicken breasts and we had chicken enchiladas with part and chicken, broccoli rice with the other part this week.
