I finished my 3/4 pound of BBQ pork and ate half of the heavy Beef Flat Noodle with Satay Sauce. Waiting to the evening to finish it.

We had fried lobster and hot pot. For drinks I got a bottle of champagne and made eggnog with brandy.

Our meal plan went astray when late thursday afternoon the mrs granddaughter talked her into going to dinner there. As we had already started cooking the collards and sweet potatoes a degree of domestic tension ensued. It wasn't so much going there ,but rather the last minute invite. But we went and enjoyed a fine meal and gathering.
So,it's 10 am here and the stuffing and mac n cheese just went into the oven.I decided not to try to desalt the ham and the feed the neighborhood party should commence mid afternoon.

How did the ham turn out? Fine. The mrs said it was salty but it seemed ok to me.All I did was score the skin/fat and throw it in the oven. Later today I'll freeze the chunks ( I deboned it before putting it in the fridge). The best part of the dinner was the stuffing, something I usually can just take or leave. It was Stovetop, but the mrs put a couple lbs of some sort of sausage ( I just glanced at the packages and all I recall is 'country sausage') She broke it into little chunks, fried 'em up and suffused the pans.As moist and flavorful as any stuffing I've ever had.
