Why? They already ruined that in the NT.. Kylo Ren kills everyone in the academy and Luke Cowers. It would be pointless in making a Jedi Academy series when you know the bleak outcome. Just not compelling. it seems the kid will be dead before ST, grim Or a hermit? Sent on an adventure way outside the galaxy?

Lot of people want Sebatian Stan to play a younger Luke, but they don't do that anymore. I understand it doesnt sound like Hamill tho. I think it’s his actual voice but the image was video game level. Disney uses this tech more than anyone, so I was shocked at how bad it was. His arrival was still great though and I was thinking he would be the only Jedi around so it made sense he would be the one that gets the signal. I hope that’s all the Skywalker we get. www.yahoo.com/entertainment/sebastian-stan-might-chance-finally-174848140.html

Yep really enjoyed it - and without getting into spoilers, the CGI at the end was definitely better than in Rogue One... Way better. Jon Favreau has done an excellent job with this series. It feels like Star Wars the way, for me at least, parts of Solo did as well. Can’t wait for season three. It's Favreau with the help of Dave Fiolioni who did the excellent Star Wars Rebels for 4 years.

I finished the season - I cried when Gogu was taken from Mando, and I'm a little confused. The Jedi is Luke Skywalker? If so, how is it that Yoda is still a child, and how can it be Luke that teaches Yoda when it was the other way around in the films? 'Baby Yoda' was never Yoda. He was just the same species.

It's not Yoda, it is a child of the same species as Yoda. The events of "The Mandalorian" take place after the end of "The Return of the Jedi". Darth Vader is dead, the emperor is dead, and so is Yoda. Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure of the timeline of The Mandalorian, so now it makes sense. Rewatch the 1st and 3rd ep of season 1, they make clear the Empire is gone.

Not sure why this thread got moved. It was clearly labelled OT and I assume the intent of starting a thread of the Politics board is to discuss the topic with people who frequent the Politics board.

I was sure it was a baby Yoda which is why I was confused when I saw Luke Skywalker. Now I understand the timeline. So you thought the show was set before Episode 1-6? Because Yoda was already old when Anakin was a boy.

Because Yoda was already old when Anakin was a boy. I've seen all the Star Wars films, but I'm not exactly an expert on what takes place when, or where. By the way, Yoda looks ugly in that pic, now I'm even more sure it's not Gogu - Gogu is so cute.
